Smilers® Clear Aligners
Straighter teeth on a budget that makes sense — without the metal.

Smilers is a clear aligner system designed for milder cosmetic alignment cases. Like Invisalign, it uses a series of custom-fit, removable trays to gradually move teeth — but for the right cases, it's typically more affordable and faster.
Smilers is best for adults who have minor crowding, spacing, or relapse from previous orthodontics — not for complex bite correction. Our dentists will tell you honestly whether Smilers is the right fit, or whether Invisalign or another option will deliver a better result for your case.
Smilers is offered at our Chesterfield and Richmond offices. We'll evaluate your case in person at the consult before recommending a system.
A clear, comfortable process from start to finish.
- 1
Candidacy consult
We assess crowding, spacing, and bite to decide if Smilers can deliver the result you want, or if a different system is a better fit.
- 2
3D scan & plan
A digital scan captures your current teeth. We design the movement plan and review the projected outcome with you.
- 3
Aligner fabrication
Your custom Smilers trays are made and shipped. The number of trays depends on the complexity of the case.
- 4
Wear schedule
Trays are worn 20–22 hours a day, removed only for eating and brushing. Most patients switch trays every 1–2 weeks.
- 5
Retention
After active treatment, custom retainers hold the new alignment in place. Wear them as directed to protect your investment.
Common questions about smilers® clear aligners.
How is Smilers different from Invisalign?
Smilers is generally suited to milder cosmetic cases and is often more affordable. Invisalign has a longer track record and handles a wider range of complexity. We recommend whichever fits your case better — not whichever sells more.
How long does Smilers treatment take?
Typical cases finish in 4–9 months. Your timeline depends on how much movement is needed.
Will Smilers work for my case?
Smilers works best for mild crowding, small spaces, or minor relapse. If your case needs more complex bite correction, we'll recommend an alternative.
Does insurance cover Smilers?
Some orthodontic insurance plans cover Smilers; some don't. Our team verifies benefits before treatment starts and presents transparent pricing.
What about retainers afterward?
Retainers are essential after any aligner treatment. We make custom retainers and review a wear schedule that protects your result long-term.
